I really like Cogeco, but I think that they are only for South Central Ontario and Quebec. It’s too bad you may not get them cause you can bundle up your digital cable Internet and phone
I only know Vonage for voice over IP. Skype is a computer program that dials home phones, and I think Yahoo messenger does too now, but you speak through the microphone on your computer not a phone. I have tried them both, and they work… but not well. I know several people who have Vonage and are very happy with it, but… the if the Vonage modem is not on a static IP, it resets randomly making your phones ring for no reason. Also, if you download a lot of stuff on your computer, the bandwith usage becomes very high and sometimes your phone won’t work, or your internet won’t work. Some alarm companies will let you use a Voice over IP service with their alarms, but if the power goes out, unlike a land line (except cordless or fancy ones) no phone.
