I’m buying a laptop but I need a fast internet for job communication. I know broadband is supposed to be fast, but is a 56k modem fast too? I have a 56k modem in this pc I use at home on dial up, but I when I connect it says 19.2kbps, it never gets higher. If a laptop comes with a 56k modem does that mean It will be double time than dial up at home?

My boss wants me to explain to him how having like 50 MB or 5 GB would work with having a broadband access internet card. He’s not computer literate at all. Any insight? Thanks! I understand its how much you are allowed to use before you go over, but I just need to know how to explain how bytes work to to my boss in a way that he could understand. He is very computer illiterate and doesnt grasp anything on this concept. Thanks!
